Children born of war: Who are they?

There is an ongoing debate over the definition of the term 'children born of war'. However, it is currently defined as follows:

1. Children of enemy soldiers

2. Children of soldiers from occupation forces

3. Children of peacekeeping forces

4. Children of child soldiers

Intimate relationships between foreign soldiers and local women embrace the entire spectrum of relationships: love affairs, friendly 'business arrangements', prostitution, sexual slavery as well as rape.
